What did Rebecca do today on Youth Twitter?

Connections seem to be firing for this 8th grade microblogger. Take a look at what she wrote yesterday and today on Youth Twitter.

Updates from Rebecca at EBAFF, Bronx, NY

Yesterday in her “New Journalism” class, Rebecca wrote a general statement about global warming on her tumbr blog, then she linked her post to this “tweet” on Youth Twitter:

Today she posted on Youth Twitter five more times, four times to other students about global warming. First she wrote to a seventh grader from her school (EBAFF) who had responded earlier in the day to a fifth grader in Joplin, Missouri:

Global warming is a horrible event. Many people are going a have to move and many will die. The ice is melting to fast.
Next Rebecca rexponded to a student from Marshall, Alaska who had just posted about receiving a hunter’s certificate. Even here, Rebecca is still thinking about global warming:

Wow, I can’t believe that you hunt for food. Is it really fun? Does global warming effect your hunting? Is it hard sometimes?
Then Rebecca came back home to link to a tumblr post that she had written the day before about a hypertext story that a student in her class (sitting just feet away) had created several weeks ago.

I wrote this to show how I feel about Dairous’s memories. Dairous’s memories
This may seem like an odd direction for Rebecca to take, but six minutes later, she is responding to something else by Dairous. He is also writing about global warming on his tumblr blog, and Rebecca connected to his thoughts:

Dairous Many people are aware that there’s global warming, but most of them are to lazy to do anything, or they just don’t care.
Finally, just as Rebecca’s “New Journalism” class is about to end, Rebecca circles back to another fifth grader in Joplin, Missouri:

I feel bad for what’s happening to you guys. You are going through a lot over there because of the weather conditions.
What will this all add up to for Rebecca? Not sure, but stay tuned.
